Back by special request, Camboats are pleased to announce the return of private tours along the middle river route - the college 'backs'.

Camboats have recently been granted special permission by the river authority to offer tours along the college 'backs'.  The iconic section of river well known internationally, with views of the college buildings and libraries only accessible via the river.

Princess Charlotte can carry up to 12 passengers

Book an exclusive tour for two or more,

or gather a group together

for this amazing trip.

Start at either The Plough Fen Ditton or Fort St George pubs, travel upstream through the classic manual lock at Jesus Green, then start the adventure along the 'backs'.

The tour includes a history of the river, and information about the college building as you cruise along in the whisper quiet luxury electric catamaran in style.

The electric eco boat is ideal for all - we have had aboard families with babies and buggies, to great grandparents in their 90s.

From our home base at The Plough Fen Ditton there are dedicated disabled parking spaces and direct wheel on access for wheelchair users.  Please advise us in advance of any special passenger requirements.

In the event that the 'backs' is not navigable the rest of the river (lower river) will be used for the tour.
