To complement the general public hop-on trips,
enjoy an early evening river trip to a riverside pub.
Departing at 5pm from Jesus Lock you can enjoy a 45 minute one-way trip to a popular riverside destination. This route takes you downstream leaving the city behind heading past Midsummer Common, the rowing teams boathouses, the Old Pumping Station, and city meadows. A lovely stretch of river covering both cityscape and wildlife, however this is also the racing part of the river for rowing.
- Adult = 16 years old and over
- Child = Under 16
- Family = Up to 2 Adults, Up to 3 children, (Babies under 18 months free)
45 min one-way trip Adult £12.50, Children £8, Family Ticket £30
Pre-booking strongly recommend to avoid disappointment – this can be done up to 48 hours in advance.
Trip is normally available April-September. Trip availability can change if the boat is booked for a private tour, or a river race event is scheduled.
Check THIS WEEKS PUBLIC TRIPS page for the most up-to-date timetable. Alternatively this can be booked as a private tour on any date/time as a one-way trip or round trip.
Price does not include the cost of the meal at The Plough. Pre-booking a table direct with the pub is strongly recommended. 01223 293264
Once you’ve enjoyed your meal, sit in the pub garden for a while.
To return into Cambridge city centre is a very pleasant stroll of just under an hour, alternatively a taxi ride is about £12-£15.
These trips are run predominately using ‘Rosie’ a classic 50′ narrowboat.
